Hi ~ I'm Anna. I set up Moody Tom Jewellery in 2007.

I design and create freshwater pearl jewellery focusing on pieces that are modern, wearable and a little bit unique.

Initially, I travelled to Shanghai and worked with small shops and individual designers out there - no factories! I met all the people involved in the creation of each piece of jewellery, and they taught me how to knot strings of pearls.

However as times change, so too does my business.  I no longer travel to China, I have a supplier who still provides me with my more unusual pearls and some key pieces....otherwise I am making the jewellery myself from items that I have collected over the years and bundles of unwanted jewellery I source via auction.

What makes my work different is that I don't just sell jewellery - I also give existing pieces a second life. I offer repairs, redesigns and bespoke adjustments so customers can update or restore items that already mean something to them.

I am passionate about sustainability and craftmanship and love working with people to create something personal, whether that's a new design or reimagining an old favourite
